Promas CIC 4yrs celebration and introduction to MegaReach November 2017

The Old Quay House in Hayle Cornwall hosted our four year celebrations. What a fantastic evening, 55 unpaid carers attended the event. The food, service and atmosphere was infectious and everyone had a brilliant evening.

We were delighted to have Poorna Gunasekera Associate Professor of Bio Medical for Plymouth University and University South West  attend. He is also the founder and  Director of MegaReach – (www.megareach.org), a global volunteering organisation attend with three medical students -Melissa, Melina and William. Poorna under his MegaReach hat will be undertaking a longitudinal study of Promas CIC highlighting the needs of unpaid carers. We are very excited and look forward to working with Poorna and his team.

MegaReach’s vision

The essence of MegaReach can be explained in one phrase: Making A Real Difference To Real People. We believe that everyone is gifted with a unique set of skills, as much as having their very own challenges. It is rare to find an individual with a skill set that is ideally suited to all their challenges. Yet, one person’s set of skills may be the ideal remedy for another person’s challenge. MegaReach is all about making such matches happen. It could happen at individual or organisational level. On an entirely not-for-profit basis, we seek to provide a platform for the exchange of offers and appeals for help, to simply increase the probability of such matches being identified.
